Optometric Physician
Dr. Furman received a dual Degree in Psychology/Biology from Binghamton University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. She completed training rotations in primary care at a range of community centers in Boston and an ocular disease rotation at the VA hospital in Philadelphia, before opening her private practice at WSO in 2007.
Able to treat most eye diseases, Dr. Furman’s exams include a comprehensive look at your eye health and can identify the possibility of other conditions including diabetes and high blood pressure. She specializes in contact lens fittings and sees patients ages 4 and older.
WSO is a family business and Dr. Furman grew up learning the mechanics of the optical solutions. She combines her medical expertise with that technical knowledge to help you consider all your options.
